Experience an Old World Christmas at the free Denver Christkindl Market. It kicks off on November 18th in downtown Denver at Skyline Park, on the corner 16th Street and Arapahoe.
Christkindl Market in Downtown Denver
The Denver Christkindl Market features live music, dancing, local and European craft vendors, as well as authentic fare. Now celebrating its 16th year, it’s organized by the German American Chamber of Commerce and the German Cultural Foundation.
Situated in downtown, additional entertainment exists just steps away from the Market. A local skate rink operates through February, weather permitting. It’s free to skate and only $2 for rentals.

Christmas markets are a longstanding tradition in Germany and throughout Europe, dating back to the 14th century. Communities comes together to enjoy the season, with Christmas carols, hot spiced wine (Gluehwein), handmade decorations and old-fashioned carousels. Traditionally, they open in late November and close on Christmas Eve.
