Cottonwood Center for the Arts – Colorado Springs

FacebookTwitter

In the heart of downtown Colorado Springs lies a thriving art community. The Cottonwood Center for the Arts sits at the epicenter of it, offering year-round free admission to its gallery spaces and exhibitions. Home to more than 80 artists whose work lines its walls, the Cottonwood Center has been inspiring and educating art lovers for generations.

Exhibits change throughout the year, ensuring there is always something new to see at the museum when you visit. Special events and First Fridays offer fun ways to explore the museum and its artists. The calendar is frequently changing, and new cultural experiences are always in the works.

Classes and Education

Adults and children can learn, grow, and be inspired to create their own art through one of the museumโ€™s many classes. Adults can sign up for a single day, weekend, or multi-week class designed to fit their budget and lifestyle. Several classes offer โ€œdrop-inโ€ sessions if youโ€™d like to check things out before committing. Choose from ceramics, drawing, and more.

Childrenโ€™s classes generally run for 4 weeks and range from illustration to animation and everything in between. Summer camps are a popular option and are available yearly with advanced registration. They run from June through August and provide children with a creative, nurturing environment to grow their imagination.

Private classes for individuals or groups are available and offer specialized attention at a higher price point. Interested in teaching a class you donโ€™t see available? Cottonwood Center is open to proposals. Just
fill out the form and theyโ€™ll discuss it with you.

Special Events

Cottonwood Center hosts several family-friendly events throughout the year. Their spring markets draw large crowds, and new additions are added to the calendar periodically. Check back often to plan your trip.

The museum also rents space for special events. Weddings, birthdays, and brunches are common and welcome year-round. Whether youโ€™re hosting a business meeting or a bridal shower, the museum has a space to accommodate you and make your day special.
