The Steamboat Ski Touring Center offers spectacular views and the well maintained trails on Steamboat’s golf course. It features 15km of groomed trails for nordic skiing of all levels.
In addition to classic and skate skiing, the center offers 10km for snowshoeing. The scenic routes wind trough aspen groves, past Fish Creek in the wonderful Yampa Valley.
Cross country skiing and snowshoeing
Lessons for all ability levels are available, as well as backcountry ski and snowshoe tours. Winter photographers can even enjoy a tour. A full nordic ski shop has everything you need. The Picnic Basket is a great place to grab a homemade snack while you rest.
Classic and skate ski rentals, as well as snowshoes are available only at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center, not at Haymaker Nordic Center. Haymaker Nordic Center is another Steamboat cross country ski area.
Haymaker offers trails for both cross country ski and snowshoers. There are 8km of cross country ski and skate trails and 3km of snowshoe trails. Dogs are even welcome on 2+km of groomed trails on Thursday and Sunday.
Grab lunch at the Haymaker Nordic Clubhouse daily, with brunch offered on the weekends.
