Reds Wine Boutique – Sterling

FacebookTwitter

Found in the rural town of Sterling, the largest population of Colorado towns out along the eastern plains, Reds Wine Boutique is a boutique winery that specializes in small-batch brewing. Their wine and their story have inspired the community and visitors alike.

What started with big dreams and high hopes has now turned into the town’s social gathering spot and offers a new flavor of business to the predominantly agriculture community. Open now for nearly two years, Cindy Graham, the owner, along with her husband began a new adventure when her wine won a competition at the local county fair. Having made wine for 10 years, Cindy decided to finally open her own winery in 2018.

Specializing in small-batch productions, they offer classic varietals with the winery’s own version of Merlot, Pinot Noirs, Pinot Grigios, and an assortment of fruit-based wines. Featuring both sweet and dry wines, they have something to satisfy anyone’s palate. The wines have won countless awards at the Colorado State Fair and other local county fairs.

The main source for grapes comes from California with plans to work with local Colorado vineyards in the future. A must-try, and a customer favorite, is the Red’s Rabid Rojo – a red blend with a hint of habanero pepper for a slightly spicy and full-bodied taste.

Not just passionate about wine, the owners are also ardent animal lovers. To show their compassion, they picture dogs on their wine labels that have been either rescued by them or friends of the community – all in the hopes to inspire others to do the same.

Tours & Wine Tastings

The tasting room is open Mondays through Saturdays, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The tiny tasting room offers an intimate seating area where the owners pour your top picks and provide insightful conversations about how they made the wine and the inspiration for the wine. They also sell a variety of local products and souvenirs for those who want to shop.

Events

The tasting room is host to several events throughout the year. From holiday wine and food pairings to craft and wine night, there is always something happening, almost every week, at this community-focused boutique winery.
