Grand Lake is home to one of the newest mini-golf courses in Colorado, the Meandering Moose. The course, which features 18 holes, was just recently completed in the summer of 2019.
The holes wind their way up and down several tiers carved into the earth and include many rock formations and some water features. The stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains makes it a beautiful course.
Miniature Golf Course
Grand Lake has been missing a great family activity like this since the iconic Lilliputt mini-golf course closed years ago. That’s what drove resident Brian Reynolds and his wife Gretchen to invest their time and effort into creating this new course. “The bars outnumber churches and places for kids to have fun. This is something for everyone from 70-year-olds to three and four-year-old kids,” Reynolds told Sky-Hi News.
One of the best parts of this course is that 9 of the holes are handicapped accessible. They also have a clubhouse that offers light snacks and refreshments. “After playing hundreds of different courses, this one is by far the BEST!!!!” is how one Tripadvisor review rated it. “Each hole has been sculpted and you feel like you are playing on a live course with the contour and flow of the land.”
