Lucky Cat Dog Farm provides an authentic dog sledding experience in the heart of the Gunnison Valley. Relax away in the Colorado wilderness on a variety of trails. Two-hour tours depart in the mornings from the trailhead at 10 am. Guests are welcome to arrive early at 9:30 am and learn to harness a dog. Reservations are required by phone to book a dog sled tour.
Guests can stand on the back of the sled or snuggle into the sled. Dress in layers, no cotton, waterproof ski jackets and pants, gloves, and neck warmers. The Alaskan Huskies, who truly love their jobs, are super friendly and enjoy being petted. Additionally, Lucky Cat Dog Farm adopts away their retired dogs to give them a life of leisure after working.
