He holds USHPA tandem instructor and Advanced H4 ratings. They offer foot launch tandem flights from Lookout and Williams mountains.
Hang Gliding in Golden
Prior to your flight, the pilot will meet you in the landing zone before heading up to the upper parking lot where they will show you how a hang glider flies. Afterward, you’ll be taken to the launch site where there will be another launch practice, but without the glider. Once you get comfortable with the procedures, you can then start flying.
Tandem flights usually last about 5-10 minutes and can sometimes go longer. Passengers must weigh less than 175 pounds, however, if you or someone in your party is between 175 and 225 lbs, they can arrange a tandem paragliding flight for them. Wear closed-toe shoes good for the brief, uphill hike as well as sun protection for your eyes. Helmets and other flying gear are provided.
