Unfortunately, the Rink at the Rock has closed. Please check out other outdoor ice skating rinks in Colorado for your wintertime fun.
The Rink at the Rock was a small open-air rink in historic downtown Castle Rock. In addition to public skating, there was also a chance to take lessons or enjoy events, such as a live DJ night. For those taking a class, the price of the skate rental and protective gear was included, as well as admission to public ice skating on the day of the lesson. The rink was generally open from November to February.
The Rink at the Rock was known to be one of the best in Colorado due to its debris-free skating rink, which was maintained through an ice surfacing machine. Situated south of Denver on I-25 in Castle Rock, the rink offered skate rentals, and lessons, and could be booked for private events.
Recreational skating would be done during its normal operating hours, while private events would be done outside the normal hours. This town attraction was open all week during the winter season and was a joint project of the local government of Castle Rock, the Downtown Development Authority, and a few community partners.
