Located 20 miles west of Salida on US-50, Monarch Mountain Ski Resort features a multi-lane tubing hill. It’s open throughout the winter to all riders 3 feet and taller.

All experience levels are welcome at Monarch’s Tubing Hill. With a base elevation of 10,790 feet, remember to wear warm clothes, including a hat or helmet, plus waterproof snow pants, a jacket, and gloves. Eye protection is a must given the elevation and snow. Sunscreen is also a good idea. You can rent clothing at Elation Sports in the Rental Center and the Main Lodge.

Reservations are recommended for the 1-hour long sessions, which start every 1/4 hour. Walk-ins are accepted as long as there is availability. There are both regular season and peak season rates, pricing is either 13 years and up, or 12 years and under for a discounted rate. Monarch season pass holders get 50% off tubing sessions.

Requirements:

  • Riders must be 36″ or taller
  • Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult who has to ride in a separate tube
