Located just off I-70, the Rocky Mountain Lake Park is a peaceful 1-mile trail and scenic oasis in the busy city of Denver, Colorado. This park is the perfect spot to go for a walk, have a picnic, play tennis, or just check out the gorgeous mountain views.
Once serving as a watering hole for part of the Overland Trail, the Rocky Mountain Lake now makes up the majority of this park. In 1906, construction of the park began, and in 1910, it was opened to the public. The Rocky Mountain Lake Park is associated with the Denver Park and Parkway System.
