Note: The Royal Rush Skycoaster is closed until March 1, 2023.
The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park’s South Rim is home to the adrenaline-pumping Royal Rush Skycoaster, which hurls guests at 50 miles per hour into the air in a free fall. It then briefly suspends them over the Arkansas River, all about 15 minutes drive from downtown Cañon City.
Riders get to see the surrounding environment from a one-of-a-kind perspective at 1,200 feet high. The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is a well-known tourist attraction in Colorado, with good reason: it has the country’s tallest suspension bridge and the beautiful Royal Gorge. You must reserve a spot on the Royal Rush Skycoaster in advance to experience this thrilling ride.
Know Before You Go
If there is bad weather, this attraction may be closed for a while to keep our visitors safe. Participants must be between 46″ and 82″ tall to ride in the 1-3 person harnesses. For smaller children, eligibility is determined by trying on the flying suit, but this attraction has no weight limit. Video cameras such as GoPros are not permitted on this ride for safety reasons.
Tickets can be sold individually or bundled for up to three people for a slight discount. The staff films each ride, which can be purchased as a fun souvenir or to show off to your family and friends.
