This unique secret game experience in Old Town Fort Collins is a bit different from “traditional” escape rooms. Rather than merely solving puzzles to escape from the room, Somewhere Secret goes a step further to incorporate a treasure map that leads you outside of the escape room and into colorful Colorado.
Somewhere Secret considers their game room to be an evolved version of an escape room- a “more epic, multistage adventure”. It also transcends the limitations of an escape room, because you are never locked in a room and your goal is not to escape, but to embark upon a quest that immerses you in a true treasure-hunting adventure. But if you aren’t able to solve the puzzles in the escape room before your hour is up, don’t worry- your team can return to make a second attempt at retrieving the treasure map.

This puzzling game experience begins at the Somewhere Secret location in Fort Collins. You’ll have a limited amount of time to attempt to solve puzzles and riddles in order to unlock the Alchemist’s secret chest.
But achieving that step is just the beginning- the real game begins once you open the Alchemist’s chest and receive a treasure map that will guide you through Northern Colorado as you attempt to discover an incredible treas. The game room’s website mentions hints could be located in Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, and Boulder.
This game is designed for players over age 10, but anyone under age 18 will require an adult to accompany them. Unfortunately, the game room is not currently wheelchair accessible and gameplay requires bending and crouching. Somewhere Secret has just transitioned to private rooms only, so you won’t need to be paired up with strangers.
