Denver’s Unser Karting features a thrilling track for both adults and juniors! It’s open daily year round, with junior racing offered weekend mornings.
Adults ages 14+ can drive the highest speed go karts around. A typical race lasts five minutes and drivers generally get between 10 and 12 laps, covered 2.5 to 3 miles. Longer seven minute races are offered Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm.
The gas-powered go karts used by adults can reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. They maneuver and handle superbly. Unser’s also got a state-of-the-art ventilation and filtering system to ensure a clean, environmentally friendly place to ride.
Juniors 6 to 13 have their own karts that can used, which fit heights of 4’6″, and sometimes as small as 4’3″, with a pre-test for fit. These karts have adjustable steering wheels, seats and pedal.
Helmets are provided and racers should wear closed toe shoes. All first time racers must attend a quick lesson, covering kart operation, track layout, safety, race rules and flag signals. Adaptive carts are provided for paraplegics and persons with physical disabilities.
Between races relax at the Trackside Tavern, which serves awesome food and drink, including a dozen tap beers and an espresso bar. There’s also a game room to unwind and let out your inner child. A pro shop sells and maintains karts.
