Telluride Bike Park

FacebookTwitter

The Telluride Bike Park in Mountain Village is a network of interlinked downhill mountain bike trails located at the Telluride Ski Resort. The trails are “gravity-fed” and accessible by chairlift and gondola, meaning there’s little to no pedaling involved.

Gravity will do all the work and the chairlift will take you right back to the top, where you’ll have access to all freeride, technical, and cross-country trails. The Telluride Bike Park has trails for all abilities. If you don’t have your own mountain bike and equipment, there is a package available that includes a half-day bike rental, helmet, body armor, and lift ticket.

Beginner Lessons – If it’s your first time mountain biking, the park offers 3-hour clinics that teach you the basics on easier sections of terrain within the park. A guide will take you through some beginner skills of mountain biking, including getting familiarized with the equipment, cornering, braking, and the proper stance.

They’ll also teach you how to safely load and unload the chairlift and take you down Telluride’s signature Tommyknocker flow trail.

Advanced Lessons – If you’re more experienced on a bike, they offer an elevated clinic that will teach you skills specific to the bike park, such as dynamic braking, bike control, and how to jump. Lastly, the park offers a private guide option where the education is focused solely on you. You can even bring up to three friends with you to join along with the guide.

Day Pass – If you don’t need lessons and are ready to just go out there and hit the trails, you can purchase a single day pass or a season pass. The season runs daily from June 13 through September 13 and then weekends only from September 19 through October 12. Grab the family and head on out for an amazing biking experience.
