The Breckenridge Nordic Center offers a wonderful trail system nestled at the base of the Ten Mile Range. Both groomed cross country ski and snowshoe trails are available throughout the winter.
You can rent equipment for either snowshoeing or cross country skiing and get lessons and tours. Group, private and semi-private lessons are offered. Food, refreshments, beer and wine, as well as a cozy fireplace await inside the log lodge.
They open each season with the annual Nordic Ski Swap in Breckenridge. In March they hold the Breckebeiner 60K Ski A Thon.
The Nordic Center is easy to reach a half mile from Main Street or within walking distance of Peak 8 at the ski resort. It’s also on the Breck Ski & Ride Free Shuttle Buses Black and Green bus routes, just ask for the Nordic Center. Parking is free their for those using the center.
