History

The ground floor of this structure, which was constructed in 1892, has always been occupied. It has served as a variety of businesses, including a general store, a pool hall, a gas station, and many restaurants. New Castle’s mining background is reflected in the corridors, while the upstairs was a boarding house and maybe a brothel in its heyday.
