Formerly called WinterSkate, Louisville hosts its annual Old Town Skate, an old-fashioned outdoor ice rink in the historic downtown Steinbaugh Pavilion. It’s open every day during the winter season from the week of Thanksgiving until February, however, hours vary daily.
The 2023-24 season marks the 20th year of ice skating in downtown Louisville.
Outdoor Winter Ice Skating Rink
With more than 6,500 square feet of ice, it’s the largest outdoor ice skating rink in Boulder County. Skate rentals are provided with admission and if you get hungry, there are food and drink concessions. Skate instructors are available on a first-come basis.
In addition to the daily rates, adults and children can buy a discounted 10-skate punch pass. The rink can also be rented for private events. Moreover, there are complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides during the holidays.
