Open daily during the season at Southlands, The Pond Ice Rink is the place to skate in Aurora. It’s located on the southern end of town, just north of Parker and nearby CO-E470.
There is an admission fee to skate, and skate rentals are available for a small charge. It’s open from Thanksgiving week through March 2nd, 2025, weather permitting. Hours do vary from day to day, so it’s best to check online before visiting.
The Sweet Shack Inside Skate Rental Building
The Sweet Shack will warm you up and fill your belly on a cold Aurora day. It’s open whenever the ice rink is open.
Stop by the Sweet Shack for a range of food and drinks, including:
- Hot cocoas
- Hot apple ciders
- Sodas and waters
- Pizza
- Nachos
- Hot salted or cinnamon sugar soft pretzels
