The 1800 foot Breckenridge Kayak Park is one of the longest in the state. It opened in 2001 with fifteen manmade features along the Blue River. The park is best from May to August. You can rent kayaks and gear in town at a number of shops. It’s free to use the park, which is located just east of the Recreation Center.

The water is certainly cold at 9600 feet, so cold weather attire is recommended.
