The Buena Vista Whitewater Park challenges kayakers and rafters on its manmade rapid structures. It’s located on the Arkansas River east of the historic district beside the new South Main Street.
There are 5 wicked whitewater structures, like Staircase Wave, built for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and whitewater rafting. In addition, there are some climbing walls, a disc golf course, a pump track for dirt bikes, an off-leash dog park, and hiking/biking trails to enjoy the riverside. Seasonal restrooms are available too.
It’s the perfect place to take your friends or family and just chill by the cool water and watch the action. This newer part of town on South Main Street features several great shops and restaurants to unwind after your day. The Buena Vista Historic District is located only a few minutes to the west.
