Arapahoe is a tiny unincorporated community spread across eastern Colorado by the Kansas border. It was established in 1870 at an elevation of 4,026 ft.

To the east is Cheyenne Wells, the county seat of Cheyenne County. The original town of Arapahoe was founded in 1859 in modern-day Jefferson County and is now a withered ghost town.

Arapahoe was re-established at the present-day site in 1870. There is an Arapahoe Post Office, built in 1910, with zip code 80802.
