Adventure awaits you in the summer at Arapahoe Park’s new high-elevation park. Situated amongst a forest of spruce and fir trees, the Aerial Adventure Park features 7 challenge courses, a couple of which are suitable for younger kids.
Soak in the views of continental divide while you take on the various obstacles, 70 to be exact, spanning 56 trees. Get your adrenaline going up to 40 feet off the ground at over 10,000 feet in elevation.
7 Challenge Courses
There are chances to zip line, swing, walk and climb through A Basin’s old growth forest. In addition to the two purple courses for younger kids aged 4-8, there are five main courses accommodating those at least 7 years old. Each of these five start from the same platform, a simple trek from A Basin’s base. On average it takes up to 2 hours to complete.
You can buy discounted packages that combine your adventure park visit with a scenic chair lift ride and/or a meal at the base area’s 6th Alley Bar & Grill. In addition to the Aerial Adventure Park, A Basin features a disc golf course, as well as multi-use hiking and biking trails.
Requirements: Guests must weigh between 50 and 270 lbs.
In the wintertime, be sure to shred the slopes at A Basin Ski Area, the locals’ favorite in Summit County for its laid back atmosphere, challenging ski slopes, and “The Beach”.
