Lake City’s Town Park is situated just a block away from its historic downtown, at the corner of Third and Silver Streets. This sizeable recreation area has restrooms, a playground, a water spigot, picnic tables, and free downtown parking.
Every winter, a portion of the park is transformed into a community ice rink. It is never too busy, so head out to the rink in Town Park for a leisurely and scenic skate.
Winter Outdoor Ice Skating
This is a family-friendly rink, where skaters of all levels will feel comfortable. The rink is open from December through March (or as weather permits). They do not provide skate rentals, however, there are places downtown where you can find some.
There’s also a Lake City Ice Park for ice climbing enthusiasts. In February they host an ice climbing festival, a great time to be in town to enjoy the festivities. To find the rink, head towards the west side of the historic Armory building and Town hill. The rink is by the intersection of Bluff and Third.
