Whispering Willows Hot Springs is a private home rental that’s equipped with its own hot springs pools. It’s located in Nathrop, Colorado which is close to Buena Vista in Chaffee County.
The 6-person private vacation rental is only open to overnight guests who reserve the entire property. It’s tucked away along Chalk Creek Canyon, where several other resorts and private rentals are found. It’s located at 8,250 feet of elevation, so expect the temperature to drop at night and no air-conditioning is needed (or available).
Private Hot Springs Home Rental
The home’s interior spans 3100 square feet, offering plenty of space for you and your crew. The views are picturesque, nestled on the banks of Chalk Creek, in between Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero.
Each of the three bedrooms is equipped with a queen bed. There are two bathrooms, one of which is attached to the master bedroom.
The full kitchen is all-electric, equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwater, and all the cooking and kitchenware you should need. A laundry room makes your stay as comfortable and easy-going as possible.
The family room has a TV, an eight-foot pool table, and plenty of eating. There is also a living room with another TV, piano, dining table, and seating. Wifi is complimentary and accessible throughout the house.
There are two spring-fed pools, a swimming pool and a soaking pool, both are private for guest use. The mineral-rich water has no sulfur smell and flows continuously through both pools. The temperature can be adjusted on the soaking pool to your liking.
There is an outside deck with a grill and patio furniture. The sunroom is by the pool deck. A gazebo is a wonderful place to unwind when not in the pools and experience the ambiance of Chalk Creek Canyon.
In addition to relaxing in your personal hot springs pools, there are two fishing ponds on the property. Nature surrounds the house.
The Colorado Trail is close by, which is one of the state’s most popular hiking trails. There are several 14ers for those looking for more vertical. The Arkansas River passes by Buena Vista and Nathrop on its way to Browns Canyon National Monument, one of the most popular sections for whitewater rafting.
