Opened in 2003, Golden Gulch Casino is a smaller Black Hawk casino with a lot of vibrant gaming action. It’s operated by the Golden Casino Group, which also owns Golden Gates and Golden Mardi Gras casinos.
Unique to the Golden Gulch Casino is the ability to gamble inside a former jail. The old Black Hawk Jail is now full of slot machines waiting to ring out a winner. In total there are around 140 slot and video poker machines to choose from. Free parking is available and shared with the parking garage at Golden Gates.
Dining Options
Bar-wise, Golden Gulch has you covered with the Golden Gulch Bar. All your craft beer, fine wine and mixed drinks are the menu. There’s also a snack bar, but dining-wise, you’ll be best off heading to one of its sister casinos, either Mardi Gras or Golden Gates for full service restaurants. Isle of Capri, Lady Luck and the Riviera are also close by.
