The Ranch at Emerald Valley – Colorado Springs

Founded in 1888, the Ranch at the Emerald Valley is a luxurious all-inclusive western escape situated just nearby the Broadmoor. The 3,200-acre valley is recognized by the Sierra Club as the largest canyon system without roads and guests can get to the ranch from The Broadmoor through shuttle transportation.

Welcoming overnight guests between late April and late October, the ranch is surrounded by over 100,000 acres of the Pike National Forest, providing visitors with beautiful vista views and close access to nature. Being 8,200 feet in elevation, guests could experience all 4 seasons in 1 day as the ranch.

Accommodations

Able to accommodate up to 32 guests, overnight accommodations for guests range from one to three-bedroom cabins. Each one is beautifully adorned with an old western touch and is equipped with private baths. The cabins almost seem to have been pulled out of an old western dream but with the bonus of modern amenities.

At The Ranch at Emerald Valley, guests will experience top-notch meals prepared by Broadmoor’s chefs. The gourmet cuisine and fine wine at the ranch are something folks always look forward to. You can also shuttle down and choose from other dining locations at The Broadmoor.

Activities

While visiting The Ranch, guests will be paired up with a horse well-suited for them and head on to an adventure to discover the area’s breathtaking natural surroundings. You even have the chance to practice herding cattle, which really adds to the overall Old West feel.

Furthermore, guests can go fly fishing at the enchanting river, hike through the land, or borrow a bike and explore the scenic nature trails. The ranch also has an outdoor hot tub where guests can relax after a day of adventuring. The establishment is not only perfect for family vacations but also great for retreats and special events.
