Travelers visiting Colorado may do more than simply stay in a hotel; they can carve out a cowboy experience that doesn’t require abandoning comfort. Located only a short drive from the glitz and glamour of Vail Village, Collective Vail – a retreat at 4 Eagle Ranch in Wolcott offers a luxurious camping experience within 1,000 acres of natural wilderness.
This is a seasonal property that operates from May 27 through September 26. The ranch’s status as a working farm makes it unable to accommodate guests’ pets. The Collective Vail is available for events in nature, adding a twist to your high-end parties. The venues are ideal for weddings, business gatherings, parties, and other special events.
Amenities and Experiences
The property is just under thirty minutes from Vail by car, and they provide guests with free parking and complimentary WiFi. Concierge and luggage storage services are options for those that want them. The biggest amenity of this property is being able to connect with nature in a safe, comfortable, and stress-free way through experiences.
From horseback riding across the scenic landscape to indulging in a complimentary happy hour, vacationers may fill their time as they like. Experience nature at its finest by blazing trails on a mountain bike, planning a picnic with spectacular vistas or sipping wine while mastering the art of branding.
Soak in the outdoors and the basic pleasures of life by trekking or fly fishing. Every day, the chef prepares breakfast, including a rotating selection of seasonal healthy and hearty choices, and every night, they prepare supper using ingredients sourced directly from local farms.
Three Peaks Lodge — Dining and Winery
The on-site Three Peaks Lodge offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast baskets are provided and brought to your tent for free. Additionally, they offer a large selection of lunch and supper items for purchase, including a variety of picnic lunches that may be taken with you.
Nightly, a Chef’s Tasting meal is offered al fresco and comprises a multi-course menu of fresh, locally sourced food. Enjoy a complimentary gourmet S’mores cart and campfire after the night, courtesy of the ranch.
Lunch and supper bookings must be booked at least 48 hours in advance of the expected arrival time. At this time, only guests of the property may dine there, no outside visitors. Due to health and safety regulations, food, drink, and alcohol, may not be brought into the retreat grounds from outside.
There’s a Sage Social Hour daily from 4 to 5 pm where you can imbibe in wines from the on-ranch winery.

All the comforts of a five-star hotel can be found in the 18 guest rooms, from the soft mattresses to the high-end towels and boutique toiletries. Besides the wood-burning heaters, visitors are asked to refrain from using any open flames within the tents.
