Each winter, Louisville hosts its annual WinterSkate, an old-fashioned outdoor ice rink in the historic downtown Steinbaugh Pavilion. It’s open every day during the winter season from the week of Thanksgiving until February, however, hours vary daily. The 2021-22 season marks the 18th year for ice skating at WinterSkate.
Outdoor Ice Skating in Downtown Louisville
With more than 6,500 square feet of ice, it’s the largest outdoor ice skating rink in Boulder County. Skate rentals are provided with admission and if you get hungry, there are food and drink concessions. Skate instructors are available on a first-come basis.
In addition to the daily rates, adults and children can buy a discounted 10-skate punch pass. The rink can also be rented for private events too. Moreover, there are complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides during the holidays.
There’s another outdoor ice rink hosted by BCE Productions called WinterSkate at Northfield, for those in the Mile High City.
