One Hundred Gold Mine offers guided tours hourly, during the May to October season. It’s located in a scenic section of the San Juans, fifteen minutes from historic Silverton.
The tour begins as you ride in a miner’s “mantrip” 1/3 mile underground. From there you and your tour group explore on foot with a guide. You’ll follow the original tunnels and gold vein while learning how mining was done.
Summer Gold Mine Tour
This mine has been around since 1904 and sits at 10,000 feet above sea level. It was named one of Colorado’s best mine tours by a number of publications. There is free gold panning with the purchase of a tour.
A gift shop offers various mine souvenirs, from rocks and minerals to books and postcards. Drinks and snacks are available as well.
