Established in 1967, the Denver Nuggets are Colorado’s professional basketball team, competing in the National Basketball Association (NBA). They are part of the NBA’s Western Conference Northwest Division.
Their name draws inspiration from the gold miners looking for nuggets. Their colors are navy blue, powder blue, gold and white. The basketball team plays from October through April, with nearly one hundred games home and away.
Home guys for the Denver Nugget are held at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver. They share the Pepsi Center with the Colorado Avalanche Hockey (NHL) and the Colorado Mammoth Lacrosse (NLL), both of which are also owned by Stan Kroenke, along with the Colorado Rapids (MLS).
There are several ways to reach the stadium, but the most common is the Auraria Parkway exit on I-25. Paid event parking is available.
