Walsh, CO is a tiny statutory town in Baca County, in southeastern Colorado, 123 miles from La Junta. Its population was 546 in the 2010 census. It’s a small rural community of ranchers and farmers, situated at an elevation of 3,953 feet.
The town got its first post office in 1926 and has a zip code of 81090. Walsh was incorporated two years later in July of 1928. A railroad leader by the name of Mr. Walsh gave the community its name.

There are a few operating businesses in town including Walsh Baptist Church, an auto part store, the Walsh Piccadilly for food options, and a few grain and feed stores.
Recreation
The nearby town just north of Walsh, Two Buttes, offers a local reservoir and a swimming hole (the Black Hole) on the other side of the dam.
