El Pueblo History Museum

Located in Downtown Pueblo, the El Pueblo History Museum preserves and promotes the history of Southern Colorado. The area’s diverse ethnic and cultural groups are showcased in captivating exhibits that are open year-round.

Some of the highlights include:

  • Borderland of Southern Colorado
  • Steel City: 1980-2004
  • Re-created 1840s Adobe Trading Post
  • Archaeological Excavation Site of the original 1842 El Pueblo Trading Post

Tours of the Trading Post are offered Tuesday through Saturday in late May through August at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, and 2 pm. Admission is reasonable with discounts offered for seniors(60+) and free admission for kids (18 years and under).
