The Manitou Springs Bridges are two very similar stone bridges, both over Fountain Creek in downtown Manitou. They have rubble arch construction using local greenstone.
The Cañon Avenue Bridge was the first one built in 1906 of Manitou greenstone. The Park Avenue bridge was added the following year in 1907. The Manitou Springs Bridges have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 24, 1985.

Soak in the ambiance of this picturesque town from these historic bridges over the bubbling Fountain Creek. And be on the lookout for one of Manitou’s mineral fountains to taste a sip from.
Hikers can access more bridges in the Colorado Springs area along the Seven Bridges Trail in North Cheyenne Cañon. It’s a nearly 6-mile round-trip hike that takes two to three hours.
The Canon Avenue and Park Avenue bridges cross over the beautiful Fountain Creek, making them both a scenic place to visit and a great addition to any walk around Manitou Springs. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 for adding so much charm to Manitou’s riverwalk area, as well as for preserving the historic architecture of this cute little town.
