One of the nicest natural areas in Western Colorado is Palisade’s Riverbend Park. It’s a thrilling spot for water sports on the Colorado River such as kayaking and river surfing from late spring through summer.

Riverbend Park features plenty of big shade trees, irrigated from the always-present Colorado River. It’s also a green space with lots of lush grass, perfect for a local game of frisbee golf or a simple riverside picnic.

For kayakers, stand up paddle boarders, rivers surfers, and other boaters, the Riverbend Boat Launch provides easy access to the Colorado River.

Several popular annual festivals are hosted at the park, including the:

  • Palisade Bluegrass Festival in June
  • Palisade Peach Festival in August
  • Colorado Mountain Winefest in September
