Located in Southern Colorado, the Steelworks Center is one of Pueblo’s most fascinating museums. It preserves historic buildings, artifacts, and archives of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company (CF&I).
The Steelworks Museum highlights Pueblo’s significance in the industrialization of the West. It’s open throughout the year, Tuesday through Saturday, with free admission given to CSU-Pueblo and Pueblo Community College students, as well as Steelworks Center members.
Museum, Archives, and Education

Built in 1901, the former CF&I Medical Dispensary now houses the museum. There are indoor and outdoor exhibits covering how CF&I and certain industries shaped the Western United States.
The Archives showcase more than 100,000 photographs, 150+ films, 30,000 drawings and maps, among other company publications.
Students and teachers appreciate the programs and resources that the Steelworks Center of the West provides. There are many educational opportunities available for the community.
