Open year-round, the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens is nestled on 15 acres beside the Colorado River. It’s found at the southern end of 7th Street, within walking distance of downtown Grand Junction.
The are a few primary gardens, including: Antique Rose Garden, Cactus Garden, Children’s Secret Garden, Celebration Plaza, Japanese Garden, and the Western Heritage Garden. The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens is also home to the Butterfly House.
Botanical Gardens and Butterfly House

Since 1994, the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens has showcased an impressive collection of tropical plants and orchards, as well as butterflies, tortoises, turtles, and koi fish.
The tropical rain forest and butterfly house are open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, with gates closing at 3:30 pm.
