The Best Places To Trick-Or-Treat In Colorado

Colorado boasts many trick-or-treating events throughout the state for families looking for a fun, safe venue to dress up and get some treats. These Halloween festivities usually feature additional activities like costume contests.

Here are just a few of the Halloween trick-or-treating events in Colorado, in chronological order:

Boo at the Zoo — Denver

The Denver Zoo features a dozen days to trick-or-treat at Boo at the Zoo. Nine candy stations are set up, so bring your costume and trick-or-treat bag. The first couple of weekends are value days, and Halloween night is a sensory-friendly session.

October 3-4, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26, 2025 | 4:30 pm – 9 pm | denverzoo.org/events/boo-at-the-zoo

Boo at the Zoo — Colorado Springs

During seven nights beginning in mid-October, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo hosts a spooktacular evening of trick-or-treating. Its Boo at the Zoo event features more than 20 trick-or-treat stations, a haunted house, a spooky graveyard, lighted pumpkins, and a pirate’s cove. Enter the costume contest and tour select animal exhibits. Experience the SkyRide and Carousel, as well as feeding the giraffes and budgies.

Boo at the Bridge — Cañon City

Catch a sunset while you go trick-or-treating across the Royal Gorge Bridge. There’s a costume contest and plenty of candy stations run by local businesses. Park activities, including Daisy’s Carousel, the Royal Rush Coaster, and the Cloudscraper Zipline, will be open as long as the weather’s good.

Treat Street — Aurora

The Arapahoe County “Scaregrounds” in Aurora hosts this family-friendly event, held over two days. In addition to trick-or-treating from more than 40 stations, there are a lot of fun activities, like a petting farm, inflatables, gold panning, a pumpkin patch, and a haunted maze, just to name a few.

ZooBoo — Pueblo

The Pueblo Zoo features one of the most unique settings for a Saturday of trick-or-treating. See the animals as your kid(s) gather candy from vendors. There’s a costume contest, parades, and even a members-only BooBonus session the day before on Friday.
