Eldora Nordic Center offers 40 kilometers of mixed trails for cross-country, skate skiing and snowshoeing. It’s situated at Eldora Resort, just beyond the chair lifts.
The impressive trail system winds through forest, meadows and mountains. Rentals and lessons are available. And there are events and clinics throughout the winter including Women’s Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s. The Nordic Center has food and drinks, as well as a hats, gloves and sunglasses.
You can rent a Tennessee Mountain Cabin for the night and either ski or snowshoe out. It sleeps up to six. The next day you can try out the downhill skiing at Eldora Mountain Resort.
