Hang Gliding in Evergreen
Airtime teaches everything, from foot launch to flying and landing a hang glider, their teaching programs are designed to make someone with little to no background at flying get his or her own USHPA Novice rating, which is the rating flying organizations like USHPA and FAA require from someone to fly a glider on their own.
They have two training sites, which are Markhams Field Tow Site and Lyden Training Hill. There are a few airtime lessons as well including:
- Intro Lessons – a 2-day lesson geared towards teaching students how to foot launch and fly a hang glider on their own. This lesson may be turned into their Unlimited Lesson Package.
- Lessons by the Day – this is Airtime’s pay-for-lessons-as-you-go program, which is best suited for students under a budget.
- Unlimited Lessons to a Novice Rating – this program allows the student to take as many lessons as he or she needs in order to get that USHPA Novice Rating.
Airtime Above Hang Gliding can also help students decide the equipment that best fits their needs, style, and budget, and can start with just a helmet and progress from there towards the student’s achievement of a Novice rating.
