Since 1955, Splashland Hot Springs has been delighting swimmers in the San Luis Valley. The large outdoor swimming pool is open seasonally in Alamosa from late spring to early fall.
It’s been remodeled and upgraded with a full concession stand. Numerous pool parties are held throughout the summer. Water aerobics classes are available. Lap lanes are set up for swimmers.
A limited number of cabana rentals are available. Beginners and those new to the sport can take swimming lessons here as well.
Every September, there is the Splashland Sprint Triathlon held at Splashland Hot Springs. It combines, running, biking, and swimming:
- Run 3.4 miles
- Bike 10 miles
- Swim 400 yards
- and finish at Splashland
Getting There
Take Highway 17 one mile north of Alamosa to the hot springs. Turn left into the resort parking lot.
