On the crest of Monarch Mountain, this informal Rocky Mountain lodge offers guests various outdoor adventures, panoramic mountain views, and a short five-minute shuttle ride to Monarch Ski Area. It’s located 20 minutes west of Salida on Highway 50.
Situated a couple of miles from the Continental Divide Trail and in a non-commercialized atmosphere, the lodge’s 90 rooms provide an ultimate setting for relaxing and the perfect retreat for all outdoor buffs. The mountainside lodge lies on the way up Monarch Pass, just under 4 miles from the ski resort.
Although it has a Salida mailing address, it sits atop the little vacation village of Monarch, which doesn’t offer any downtown area, but has other vacation accommodations if prefer a larger space.
Room Types
All rooms provide guests with standard amenities along with flat-screen TVs and inspiring views. Pets are allowed at the hotel, and, while there is no maximum weight, there is a per night additional charge.
- Double Queen or King Rooms – These rooms are available with or without a balcony. Some rooms are pet-friendly.
