Celebrate MaiTanz (German for “May Dance”) in Pueblo on May 17

Grab your family and friends and step into a tradition that’s been bringing people together for centuries. The Pueblo Elks Lodge Ballroom will be filled with music, dance, and pure Gemütlichkeit! MaiTanz!

This year’s event happens on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm. Enter the 5th Street of the Pueblo Elks Lodge Ballroom in Downtown Pueblo, Colorado. Admission is $15, and children 15 and under get in free. You can buy tickets in advance or bring CASH to get them at the door.

Some of the evening’s highlights include:

  • Enjoy and dance to music from Alan Polivka, playing polka and a mix of party-worthy tunes.
  • Experience the magic of the Maypole dance, a vibrant, time-honored celebration of spring!
  • Savor authentic German flavors from Germans Pretzelkings Food Truck (cost of food is separate—can come just for the food truck).
  • Sip, socialize, and celebrate—cash bar available!
  • All happening in the hidden gem of the Pueblo Elks Lodge Ballroom.
  • Dirndls & Lederhosen encouraged (yet not required).
