Colorado Mammoth is Denver’s professional box lacrosse team, competing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). They have played indoors at the Ball Arena, formerly Pepsi Center, since 2003. The games are known to draw as many people to Ball Arena as the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets.
Their colors are burgundy, black and white. They are owned by Stan Kroenke, who also owns the Colorado Rapids (MLS), Denver Nuggets (NBA), and Colorado Avalanche (NHL). The Colorado Mammoth is one of the top teams in the NLL, so games are always popular.
NLL Season: December to April
One of thirteen active teams in the NLL, the Colorado Mammoth provides one of the most exciting sports displays in the Ball Arena. Games are higher scoring than hockey and more prone to fights than basketball. And the venue puts on a heck of a show. Their season runs from December to April, with the potential for an extended season if they make the playoffs.
To reach the venue, exit Interstate 25 on Auraria Parkway for Downtown Denver. Paid event parking is available.
