Unfortunately, the Denver Outlaws folded in 2020 due to the MLL merging with Premier Lacrosse League.
Denver Outlaws were one of Colorado’s two professional lacrosse teams. They competed in professional field lacrosse in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL), which has a total of six active teams.
Starting as an expansion team, they began playing in MLL in 2006. Their official colors were black, orange, and silver. As of 2019, they’ve played in the championship game nine times, which is a league record. Unfortunately, the team folded in 2020 when the MLL merged with the Premier Lacrosse League.
Games were typically held from late spring to mid-summer at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, the same place where the Denver Broncos play. The other Denver lacrosse team is the Colorado Mammoth, which plays professional box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).
