Denver Outlaws is one of Colorado’s two professional lacrosse teams. They compete in professional field lacrosse in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL), which has a total of six active teams.
Starting as an expansion team, hey began playing in MLL in 2006. Their official colors are black, orange and silver. As of 2019, they’ve played in the championship game nine times, which is a league record.
Attending an outdoor lacrosse match between late spring and mid summer is a great way to spend a few hours in the Mile High City. The league runs late April to early August. Fast paced and technical, matches are held in Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, the same place where the Denver Broncos play.
The other Denver lacrosse team is the Colorado Mammoth, which plays professional box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). They host thirteen active teams, all of which play indoors from January through April.
