Genoa is a tiny eastern plains community tucked away about ten miles east of Limon on Interstate 70. It sits at an elevation of 5,604 feet and had a population of only 139 in 2010.
The Lincoln County town was incorporated on July 27th, 1905. There has been a Genoa Post Office around since 1903. Genoa, Colorado was thought to be named after an Italian town of the same name.
