Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) provides flight access to the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. It’s located in the town of Gunnison about 1 mile from downtown.
The winter is the busiest season for the airport, with passengers looking to access the ski slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The ski area is located only 30 miles north of the airport, with shuttles and paid transportation available.
There is no service from the Gunnison Valley RTA, the local bus line that runs to Crested Butte. They do not allow luggage onboard and do not go to the airport. However, once at your destination in town, this is a great way to get around locally.
The terminal is a single big building with several car rental agencies. The amenities are limited, especially in terms of food and drinks, other than vending machines. It’s best you eat before you come to the airport.
