Grand Adventures has the only 12,000-foot snowmobile game in town when it comes to conquering the Continental Divide. You can truly see for miles from up there, surveying Winter Park Resort and Fraser Valley below.
The company offers guests five locations from which to choose, all with the added convenience of departing right from the base; no further travel to the trailhead required. The Winter Park Hotel near the ski area is the point of departure closest to Denver.
Snowmobile the Continental Divide
Grand Adventures offers Winter Park guided tours in one, two, or three-hour packages and accommodate all ages and ability levels. For the experienced riders desiring unguided access to the beauty, the Beaver Village Office location on Highway 40 in the town of Winter Park provides two-hour, four-hour, and full day rentals. The company’s fleet includes “the latest in mountain performance and luxurious touring sleds.” Instructions on machine operation, map orientation, and safety tips are provided before they set your group free to tear it up.
Here’s the best of both world’s choice: the Two-Hour Guided Adventure Tour plus Two-Hour Unguided Rental Combo. Riders are accompanied by a guide for two hours in the morning to get acquainted with the snowmobiles and the trails. If upon breaking for lunch, unanimous consensus is “We Want More!”… go right back out there again solo. Guests can decide to ride alone in the afternoon after the morning ride; no advance commitment required.
Cruise through Rocky Mountain National Park
Grand Lake Guided Tours provide several accommodating itineraries on the company’s 110-mile trail system that passes through groomed trails and meadows. Riders zoom through Rocky Mountain National Park, the Never Summer Wilderness Recreational Area, the town of Grand Lake, three lakes along the Continental Divide, and the Kawanechee Valley. The unguided Grand Lake rental packages offer two, four, six, and eight-hour privacy rides in the Arapaho National Forest.
Blaze across the Fraser Valley
Fraser Valley is Grand Adventures’ newest location, right next to Colorado Adventure Park. The wilderness terrain is a bit more advanced and diverse at this location. Guests can explore the Arapaho National Forest in the Two-Hour Trailblazer Tour. The highest point of the ride overlooks the Vasquez Cirque, offering a panoramic view of the Continental Divide, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Fraser Valley.
The Four-Hour Advanced Adventure Tour reveals the closely-held special backcountry secrets that only the guides have access to. This experience allows four or more single riders the opportunity to upgrade their riding skills with personalized attention from the guides while accessing extraordinary land in Vasquez Mountain and Church’s Park area, riding the fleet’s most advanced powder machines.
Mini Mobiles
If there are small children in your vicinity right now, call them over and hit play:
The Polaris 120cc is made especially for kids ages 4 to 12, and they will surely lose their minds on the groomed track at Grand Adventures’ Beaver Village location in downtown Winter Park. $20 for five laps and a memory that will last a lifetime? Priceless!
Gather up three of your BFFs and book a private tour of one, two, three, or four hours’ duration. You can add lunch for $15 per person, and even order a birthday cake for a few more dollars. What a way to honor and celebrate those Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces pals!
“Whatever…Whenever” is the official motto of Grand Adventures. This dedicated and dynamic cast of characters promises to
do our best to customize any tour for our guests, from birthday parties to proposals on the mountains and wedding ceremonies; we’ll do our best to help make that special day even better.
