Fall at Anderson Farms means pumpkins, corn mazes, Halloween frights and a lot of family adventure. Anderson Farms opened its first Colorado corn maze in 1999, so the 2019 fall season marks the 20th annual year! The pumpkin patch opened two years earlier in 1997.

Situated in Erie, the farm is about a forty-five minute drive from Denver. In addition to Anderson Farms, there are a number of other top corn mazes near Denver, so you can explore them all and pick your favorite maze (and pumpkin).

The twenty-five acre corn maze features over eight miles of dirt-packed trails. The design updates every year! Hidden in three large sections are eighteen checkpoints, where you can get a unique hole punch on your card. Bring a flash light after dark and wear closed-toe shoes. There’s also a smaller maze for children 2 to 8.

There’s a complimentary wagon ride that departs regularly to the Pumpkin Patch. They depart daily from open until 5:30pm. Once you arrive, you’ll notice twenty-five acres of pumpkins with over seventy varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds. They close the patch at dusk since there are no lights. Pumpkins range in price from $2 to $12 depending on size.

For additional Halloween fall related festivities, check out one of the spookiest haunted houses near Mile High City. And for that very special night, or weekend before or after, pick up a chilling outfit to celebrate the season. There are more than a dozen Halloween costume stores in Denver to choose your perfect attire.
