New Belgium is Colorado’s largest micro-brewery and home to the famed Fat Tire beer. It opened in 1991 and quickly grew a following. The brewery is located minutes from downtown Fort Collins in a modern, wind-powered facility.
On the tour, enjoy live story-telling, beer tastings, art-gazing, and more fun around the brewery. Tours are open to all ages and run year-round. They are by reservation only and are led in small groups of about 20 people. Spots are reservable up to 2 months in advance.
When you first enter the brewery, you do so through the New Belgium Liquid Center. A wide selection of microbrews is on tap, from the common Fat Tire and Sunshine to the lesser-known Lips of Faith beers. There’s also a small gift shop and a counter to check-in for the tours.
The tour lasts 60-90 minutes and offers plenty of beer samples along the way. See the New Belgium website for openings, you can reserve tours online within 2 months. Two other brewery tours in town include the micro-brewery, Odell and the giant Budweiser.
