Mountain Musher – Bond

Mountain Musher Dog Sledding Bond
Mountain Musher Dog Sledding - Bond, CO

Since 1989, Mountain Musher has been providing the best dog sledding in the Vail Valley. Two tours depart daily, morning and afternoon, with two guests riding in each sled, driven by a guide. There are up to six sleds per trip with up to sixty dogs on a six-mile tour which takes a little less than two hours. Children must be at least 4 years old and no pregnant women are permitted.

The trail they run is in Wolcott, about ten miles west of Beaver Creek, leading you through Aspen glades and evergreens. A “musher” or driver stands behind you and controls the team of dogs. At the halfway point, guests can enjoy homemade pumpkin bread and hot cocoa. There is a 400 pound limit per sled and it’s advised that you dress warmly, with waterproof ski pants and jacket, gloves, winter boots, and goggles.

Transportation is provided from both Vail and Beaver Creek resorts, for both the morning and afternoon tours. The Mountain Musher dogs have been featured on “Colorado Getaways”, “The Learning Channel”, and “The Today Show”.
